This set of scenes presents the core area of a traditional Chinese Buddhist temple. The main building is the Mahavira Hall, which features vermilion walls and upturned eaves. Rows of red lanterns hang under the corridor outside the hall, with elaborate painted brackets, carved wooden windows and gilded plaques as fine details. A multi-layer cast copper incense burner sits in the center of the square in front of the hall, surrounded by auxiliary halls of the same traditional Chinese style and green plants. The whole space is solemn and elegant, fully reflecting the unique aesthetic of traditional Chinese religious architecture.
